Kevin Horlock (born November 1, 1972 in Plumstead, London), is a Northern Irish football player who currently plays for Doncaster Rovers.
Horlock is a former Northern Ireland international and had a successful time playing for Manchester City. He played in three different divisions for the Manchester team including the premiership. His best season was probably in the 2001-2002 season where he was deployed in the holding midfield role and helped Manchester City earn promotion in a stylish manner, his team scoring 108 goals. He also played for Swindon Town, and West Ham United. He moved to Ipswich in the 2004/05 season on a free transfer. He signed for Doncaster Rovers at the end of the 2005-2006 season after being released by Ipswich. Kevin is well known for his accurate set pieces and is particularly skilled in free kick taking. One of his most memorable moments would be in the 1999 season play-off final against Gillingham with himself scoring the first goal of the memorable comeback, when Man City ended up winning on penalties after being 2-0 down until the last 5 minutes. He joined West Ham United on a free transfer on 15th August 2003 and was given a free transfer to Ipswich Town in 2004 by The Hammers. Then he joined Doncaster Rovers on loan in February 2006. He went back to Ipswich Town to consider his options and finally joined Rovers permanently in May 2006. He signed a 2 year deal that will keep him tied to the club until the end of the 2007/2008 season.
Kevin is currently out of action due to a bad knee injury sustained in Doncaster Rovers' 3-1 victory over Crewe Alexandra in August, a game in which he scored his first goal since 2003, and he isn't expected to be back until at least mid February.
