[edit] Character
Kevin is the son of Tom (Roscoe Born) and Gloria Fisher (Judith Chapman) and the half-brother of Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc).
In 2003, teenaged Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) met mentally unstable internet predator Kevin Fisher in an on-line chat room. Even though Kevin was much older than Lily, the two started dating and Kevin often persuaded Lily to skip school to hang out with him at his place. This led to the two participating in unlawful sex (statutory rape) and Kevin giving Lily chlamydia, a common sexually transmitted disease.
Colleen Carlton (then played by Lyndsy Fonseca), Lily's best friend, hated Kevin and Lily's relationship and often told Kevin how she felt. In return, Kevin attempted to kill Colleen by locking her in the refrigerator at local restaurant Gina's and then setting it on fire. He was never found guilty for these crimes.
However, in 2004, while working as a bookkeeper at Marilyn's Gentlemen's Club, Kevin was wrongly accused of electrocuting Brittany Hodges (Lauren Woodland) and was sent to prison, where he was beaten to a pulp by cellmates. Ironically, it was ultimately Lily's father, Neil (Kristoff St. John) who found the evidence to have him acquitted.
Worried about Kevin, Michael agreed to let Kevin move into his apartment. They were soon joined by their mother, Gloria (then played by Joan Van Ark). Kevin soon became obsessed with Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman), a glamorous older woman, because she treated him so kindly. Kevin was heartbroken and even threatened to commit suicide once he discovered that Lauren was only spending time with him in hopes that he would confess to his crimes. Lauren talked Kevin out of killing himself, and they agreed to be friends. Kevin was furious upon discovering that Michael was dating Lauren behind his back. Kevin eventually got over it, and now is very happy for Michael and Lauren.
Kevin soon began a flirtation with Mackenzie Browning (then played by Ashley Bashioum). Mac was a very good friend to Kevin and persuaded him to seek counseling and to become a better person. Kevin and his brother Michael won the lottery, and Kevin used his share to enter a partnership with Mac and purchase Crimson Lights Coffee House from Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) and his wife, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). While Mac appeared to have slight feelings for Kevin, she was in love with Kevin's nemesis, J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill).
Kevin's abusive father, "Terrible Tom" Fisher, returned in 2005, and Kevin was forced to relive the memories of the physical and emotional violence that Tom inflicted upon him as a child. Tom couldn't help but cheat on his girlfriend with Kevin's mother. Tom was eventually murdered by Kevin's stepfather, John Abbott (Jerry Douglas).
In 2006, Mac (now played by Rachel Kimsey) left town after a bad break up with J.T., and Kevin was left to run Crimson Lights alone. Kevin's mother, Gloria, convinced Kevin that he shouldn't settle for just selling coffee, but should try to get a job at Jabot Cosmetics. Kevin was then hired to run Jabot's website, and still owns and manages Crimson Lights.
Kevin began dating Jana Hawkes (Emily O'Brien). In February 2007, Jana and Colleen (now Adrianne Leon) appeared to have been kidnapped and/or killed by Adrian Korbel (Eyal Podell). However, this proved to be wrong, as Jana planned out the kidnappings. Jana "escaped" from the refridgerator were she and Colleen were held, and managed to get Kevin to the fridge, where she held him and Colleen at bay with a taser while confessing to the murder of Carmen Mesta (Marisa Ramirez) and the kidnappings. Kevin was shocked, saying that he thought she loved him. Jana said she used Kevin and then fell for him, and Colleen told Jana, "Well, you've got a funny way of showing it." Jana then locked Kevin and Colleen in the fridge, and proceeded to set the building on fire and planted Kevin's drivers license (Colleen's license was inside of that) by Colleen's car, trying to make it look like Kevin kidnapped and attempted to kill Colleen in the same manner as he did years before, only he locked himself in there by mistake. After several unsuccessful breakout attempts, Kevin and Colleen passed out from the smoke. They were rescued by J.T. and Korbel, who fell for Jana's plan and were under the impression that Kevin kidnapped and attempted to murder Colleen.
