Kevin Dillon is a fictional character in Rodman Philbrick's young adult novel, Freak the Mighty. He is the diminutive friend of protagonist Maxwell Kane. In the movie The Mighty based on the book, he is played by Kieran Culkin. Kevin is a cripple, but also a genius. He always brings a dictionary with him. He lives with his mother (who happens to be a good friend of Max's late mother), but not his father, who left his wife and son when he learned that Kevin had a birth defect. Kevin saved Max's life from Max's father, Killer Kane. He, in fact, had the Morquio syndrome, which took away his life shortly after his thirteenth birthday - since he was very young, he knew he would die young too. His legacy is left behind in a blank journal which he makes Maxwell use to write about their adventures as Freak the Mighty; the result is the novel itself. He dies at the young age of 13 due to his enlarging heart growing too big for his small body.

Kevin is very fond of King Arthur; in fact the very first book he reads to Maxwell Kane is King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.
