Kevin Conde

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kevin Conde was a former US security police officer near RAF Woodbridge and RAF Bentwaters (now abandoned) in England, best known for an alleged prank on fellow security personnel relating to a UFO sighting known as the Rendlesham Forest Incident. The incident was covered by the BBC documentary program 'Inside Out'. According to an 'exclusive confession' made to the BBC, this claim was a hoax[1]

However, Conde later retracted this statement, confessing that his prank was during manoeuvres, which never take place in the Christmas break. Ergo, he was mistaken about the time of his prank. [2]

There are some issues with the above - Conde never retracted his statements. Conde never said he was the source of the incident, only that he played a practical joke on a gate guard that has striking similarities to the "incident", and in the same general time period. People are free to draw their own conclusions about whether this was a UFO or a practical joke gone bad.
