Kevin Barker (born on July 26, 1975 in Bristol, Virginia) is Major League Baseball first baseman in the Toronto Blue Jays organization.

Barker made his major league debut on August 19, 1999 with the Milwaukee Brewers.

On September 3, 2006, Barker recorded his first hit and homerun as a Blue Jay by homering off Boston Red Sox starter Josh Beckett.

Once a top prospect within the Milwaukee Brewers organization, he slowly drifted away. A somewhat sad case of a once top prospect. He posted decent numbers in his first major league season, but after that the Brewers traded for 1B Richie Sexson from the Indians. That put Barker in limited duty that season, and when he did he slumped. It pretty much shattered his confidence at this time. He was later sent down to the minors and then released.

At this point in his career, he is mostly considered a minor league journeyman.

He is currently engaged to NESN sportscaster Hazel Mae.[1]
