Ketkar is a common surname or the last name among the Chitpavan brahmin community in Maharashtra. Marathi novelist and sociologist Shridhar Venkatesh Ketkar or Shri Vi Ketkar and the editor of Loksatta Kumar Ketkar are two well known names in Maharashtra with this surname.
