Kesinga is a town and a notified area committee in Kalahandi district in the Indian state of Orissa.

Kesinga is located at [1]. It has an average elevation of 187 metres (613 feet).River Tel and Uteh meet not very far from Kesinga, providing appreciable ground for summer sand crops(cucumber, watermelon etc). Another land mark of Kesinga is Budhadangar(old mountain) sitting at the middle of the town. This mountain has profound affect on the climate of Kesinga.

Kesinga has an average literacy rate of 55%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 66%, and female literacy is 44%. In Kesinga, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age. Kesinga is the major rail head in kalahandi district. It is considered as the gateway of kalahandi
