Kerrin Anderson

Kerrin Anderson is a Partner with Francis Abourizk Lightowlers, Commercial and Technology Lawyers and has held the positions Assistant Legal Officer, The University of Queensland (1994-2000) and Solicitor Commercial Litigation and Commercial Property, Freehill, Hollingdale and Page (1993-1994). She is the Australian Representative on the International Law Steering Committee for Amnesty International, Asia Pacific Delegate on International Legal Network Steering Committee, and representative on the Australian National Legal Team. Kerrin also volunteers as a solicitor with the Arts Law Centre of Queensland. In the emerging field of large-scale public and private partnerships, Kerrin has emerged as a national leader in structuring and establishing effective research and development joint ventures including CRC Sugar Industry Innovation through Biotechnology, CSIRO Division of Exploration and Mining, CRC Sustainable Resource Processing, Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute Ltd. Kerrin has been invited to deliver national presentations and services to public and private agencies on topics such as “Issues in structuring CRCs” and “Structuring and Negotiating Collaborative Research Arrangements”. Kerrin graduated from ANU in Arts and Law in 1992 and completed her Masters of Law at the University of Queensland in 2000. She is currently enrolled in a PhD at the Australian Centre for Intellectual Property Research in Agriculture, the University of Queensland.
