Keri Davies

Keri Davies is a radio producer and scriptwriter, most famous for working for the radio soap opera The Archers.

Davies was born in Treherbert, Rhondda Valley, Wales, but grew up in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, England. He received A-Levels whilst at John of Gaunt School, Trowbridge. Before he went into radio, he previously worked in a bank, was a commissioned officer in the Royal Air Force for six years, worked in Public Relations in London, advertising in Derby and marketing in Sheffield.

He then worked in radio, as a producer for The Archers in 1992, and later became senior producer, directing over 700 episodes. In 1996 he wrote a song for album The World of Eddie Grundy by Trevor Harrison, playing the accordion. In 1998, he went to Phnom Penh where he trained Cambodian health educators in radio drama scriptwriting. He has since become a scriptwriter for The Archers in 2003 and runs the BBC Archers website.

Davies set up the Archers Archive Appeal, which helped to restore lost episodes of The Archers, which later was turned into an audio cassette, Vintage Archers 3 - The Lost Episodes. Davies is also the author of the Who's Who in The Archers book series since 1999, which is updated annually with the latest edition being published October 5, 2006.

Davies also has three children, who have all appeared in The Archers, with his youngest child, Dominic Davies, playing Daniel Hebden Lloyd.
