From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sgt. Maj. Keren Tendler (died August 12, 2006) was Israel's first female helicopter flight mechanic, and the first female Israeli soldier to die on active duty since the Yom Kippur War. She was killed when the airplane she was in was shot down over Lebanon. A fund was established in her name to help other young women become flight mechanics.
