Keraterpeton is an extinct genus of lepospondyl amphibian from the Carboniferous period. It was about 30 cm (1 ft) long.
Keraterpeton was a salamander-like creature with a long, laterally flattened tail enabling it to swim very well. Its skull was round and short. Although Keraterpeton had a long body, it did not have more vertebrae than average (15-26 on average).
