Classified as Puget Sound Area / Greater Seattle Area / Western Washington
Kent has Tukwilla of Costco fame to it's north, also Renton to it's north, Auburn to it's south Covington to it's east Seatac /to it's west. There used to be a townstead? called Thomas between kent and auburn on the green river.
It is about halfway between Seattle and Tacoma (.. on the way to tacoma, philedelphia newyork and LA, and the toyota truck)

Kent has lots of warehouses in its once fertile farm land.
Krusteaz products were made in Kent last time I checked.
EDIT: Actually, they're made in Tukwila, Washington.
So all of your McGriddle and McDonalds Hotcakes are made here!
Many of your ketchup packets from Sysco might also say something about Kent.
Boeing has a plant in Kent.
Kent also hosts the King County Regional Justice Center.
Kent also has lots of light manufacturing facilities.

Kent has many large roads near by I-5, SR-167, SR-18 and has a much greater population during rush hour due to it's central location.
