?? the former Wanda Miller ?? Is it a transsexual?

More likely, that's her maiden name. It's probably something like "Wanda Rogers" now. Archola 18:39, 4 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Heart Attack

I haven't been able to find any news stories on this. if someone has a link to the story to verify it would be appreciated. if not it needs to be deleted. --Tainter 08:21, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

I have removed the claims about the Roasters chain being largely unsuccessfull. The companys website reports they still make $3 billion a year. Better wording is needed if this info is readded by the author(s).

Isn't "Elvira" sung by the Oak Ridge Boys? I don't know, but I do know he is older than dirt.

The Oak Ridge Boys coverd Elvria. Kenny sang the origanal version in the early 70s.

[edit] Puff Piece

I am a fan of Mr. Rogers. But this article has *way* too much semantic tilt toward superlatives. Kenny Rogers undoubtedly has had an outstanding career. Headings such as "A Country Music Legend" and phrases like "give them the acclaim they truly deserved" are just way over the top. I will look at marking this as needing a quality upgrade.

Then change the wording but do not delete information. Also there is nothing wrong with the heading "A Country Music Legend", he is regarded that by millions. It is no more over the top as saying "worldwide success". hmm.. he had world-wide success, but is not considerd a legend by the fans who gave it to him ... come on..

I agree that is is not a very neutral viewpoint. The first few seconds I read it, it did not read like a standard wikipedia article.

[edit] Kenny's facelift

Kenny roger's new appearance has recieved lots of media attention, mostly bad. It deserves a mention with an updated photo. 24.11.92.238 16:53, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] This Doesn't Really Belong Where It Is

"Kenny has had plastic surgery and hair transplants (with the Bosley Medical Group) in recent years." That was placed under record labels. Is it just me, or does that REALLY not belong where it was placed? In fact, does it really belong at all, at least without reference? I'm removing it until there is some proof...then we can put it back, in a place that it would belong. -WikiFiend90 02:57, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Country Music Hall Of Fame

Now, while I don't deny George Strait is a worthy entrant into the hall of fame, surely putting him in before Kenny Rogers is ridiculous. Rogers contributions to the importance of the genre are just as great and he was around first, so surely he should be right up there. How about Charlie Rich as well? I doubt Garth Brooks will be put in anytime soon, so why be so quick to get Strait in when there are many legends before him that so far have had no recognition. 74.65.39.59 11:59, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
