From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kenthurst is a semi-rural suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is located in the Hills District of NSW and has its own cricket club, soccer club, and village green.[citation needed] Blocks of land are an average of 5 acres.

Kenthurst is arguably the largest suburb in the Sydney metropolitan area. it can easily be divided into three main areas: South (Annagrove road), East (Kenthurst road) and North (Pitt Town and Porters road).

Originally known as Little Dural. However in 1886 the government changed the name to Kenthurst. Kenthurst is derived from the English County of Kent and hurst meaning a woody hillock or clearing. [1]
