Kenneth O. Morgan, Baron Morgan

Kenneth Owen Morgan, Baron Morgan (born 16 May 1934) is a British historian and author.

He is known especially for his writing on Welsh history. He was Fellow of The Queen's College, Oxford, from 1966 to 1989, and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Wales between 1989 and 1995. He is a regular reviewer and broadcaster on radio and television. He was elected Fellow of the British Academy in 1983 and was made an Honorary Fellow of The Queen's College in 1992. Morgan is a member of the Labour Party, and, in 2000 was made a life peer as Baron Morgan, of Aberdyfi in the County of Gwynedd.

He was the editor for The Oxford Illustrated History of Britain, to which he contributed the final chapter (1914-1991), and is also the author of the acclaimed 'The People's Peace: Britain since 1945'. His latest work is the authorised biography of Michael Foot.
