Kenneth is the son of Kenneth Oscar Callaway and Irene Hammons Callaway. He has 1 brother, Morgan Coker of Kileen, Texas. He also has 5 sisters, Jennifer Callaway Nerf and Laura Lynn Callaway both from Baytown, Texas; Tonya Coker Flink of Dallas, Texas; and Anna Coker and Penny Callaway of Huffman, Texas. He was married in 2006 to Katherine Ugalde of Crosby, Texas. Together they have two sons, Jase and Brayden. He has 12 nieces and nephews.

Kenneth is a graduate of Hargrave High School in Huffman, Texas. His senior year he was the top power lifter in his weight class and qualified and competed in the Texas State Powerlifting Competition. He attended Sam Houston State University where he was on the cheerleading team. At college he found his way back to bullriding, after not riding for 6 years, and earned a spot on the Sam Houston State bull riding rodeo team. (Kenneth rode junior bulls at the age of 12). In 2003 he was awarded the Rookie of the Year Award for college bullriders.
[edit] Efforts in Iraq
Kenneth took a break from bull riding and left college soon after the War in Iraq began. He left to Iraq to work with the rebuilding efforts from the war. He remained in Iraq from January 2004 until May 2004.
[edit] Bull Riding Career
Upon his return from Iraq Kenneth was immediately drawn back into bullriding. Even after missing the entire first half of the 2004 season, he was able to earn enough points to ride in the 2004 CPRA Finals. He qualified and rode again in the finals in 2005. He began his career riding with the PBR, Professional Bullriding in 2006 and began his official rookie career in the PRCA, Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association in 2007. As of February 2007 Kenneth is ranked number 4 in the rookie standings and number 36 in the World Bullriding Standings. Kenneth shows true grit. He continues to work his way through the bull riding circuit as a professional bull rider.
