[edit] History

KVHS opened its doors to students in 1975, originally serving the towns of Rothesay, Quispamsis, Hampton and much of rural Kings County. This changed in 1992 when Hampton High School was opened to serve the town of Hampton and much of rural Kings County. Rothesay High School was opened in 1997 to serve the town of Rothesay.

The school is now the host to several innovations in education. For example, if a student has less than three absences within the semester, that student may exempt any exam in any class that he/she is passing.

On Wednesdays students line up outside the local church, where a group of volunteers hands out free plates of Kraft Dinner and dinner rolls.

[edit] Kraft Dinner Ministry

Kennebecasis Baptist Church, across the street from the school, has started a Kraft Dinner Ministry. It is run by Lisa Swanton and Marsha Higgs. On Wednesdays, the students cross the street to the church, as the people serve the Kraft Dinner for them, as they eat it. This has been happening since 2005.
