Ken Sutherland is a writer and businessman working in the area of software, security and business improvement. Within his current role, Ken Sutherland has overall responsibility for Telindus Surveillance Solutions Ltd, (TSS) the fastest growing part of the Telindus Group. He is an expert on how video technology can be integrated on to a high-speed digital network to provide an integrated CCTV surveillance solution. Ken believes that while the technology to provide networked CCTV surveillance is now available, there is a limited understanding of how to apply it and few providers offering an integrated solution.
Ken Sutherland is a authority on CCTV for homeland security applications and has published widely in this area. His belief that technology can improve the lives of the public without compromising personal liberties is controversial. Ken holds a PhD in biometrics from the University of Edinburgh and can speak on all areas of personal identity and security.
TSS specialises in the design and implementation of CCTV solutions within the airport, rail and highway industries and Ken can discuss the particular security issues faced within these markets. He can also explain how incorporating video, voice and data applications over a single network results in increased efficiency and performance combined with lower cost of ownership.
Prior to joining Telindus, Ken held a number of senior positions at De La Rue Fortronic, NCR and most recently at IndigoVision Ltd.
