Ken Shakin

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ken Shakin is the author of the highly aclaimed book LOVE SUCKS, 1997, Gay Men's Press. His fiction pushes the borders of good taste, often dealing with disturbing sexual matters and sold as erotica, a category that could never fit the social satire written between the lines. REAL MEN RIDE HORSES came out in 1999, also with Gay Men's Press. THE CURE FOR SODOMY was published in 2006 by Haworth Press. He has been called the most negative man in fiction. His prose reflects a disgust with humans and animals. Much of his writing is about humans behaving like animals, and visa versa, even humans having sex with animals. A slander suit was brought against him by the German State, which he settled out of court. Born in New York City in 1959, his education was in music, graduating from the prestigious Juilliard School with a degree in piano.
