Ken Morgans

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kenneth 'Ken' Morgans was born in South Wales in 1939. He signed for Manchester United on leaving school in the summer of 1955 and played on the youth team's right wing. During the 1957-58 season he won himself a fixed place in the first team, at the expense of the older and more experienced Johnny Berry, and suffered minor injuries in the Munich air disaster, when still only 18 years old. He left the club soon afterwards, having made 23 first-team appearances without scoring a goal, and had an uneventful few seasons in the lower leagues before retiring from football.
