Ken Goodall

Kenneth George Goodall (February 23, 1947August 17, 2006) was a former Irish international rugby union and Lions player and vice principal at Faughan Valley High School, which is now part of Lisneal College.

He was educated at Foyle and Londonderry College and then read chemical engineering at Newcastle University. He made his debut on the rugby pitch in a match against Australia on January 21, 1967 and subsequently played for Ireland in 19 successive matches until March 14, 1970.

He was a member of City of Derry rugby union club and then played rugby league for the English club Workington Town in the first and second divisions.

He was reintroduced to rugby union and was reinstated by the Irish Rugby Football Union when the game became professional.
