Kelvar

Kelvar is a term used in J. R. R. Tolkien's legendarium concerning the history and legends of Middle-earth. Before Elves and men entered into the world all things were called either Kelvar or Olvar. Kelvar were animals and living creatures which moved whereas Olvar were plants and living things which did not move.
