Career Highlights: 2-Time Olympian (1996, 2000); 8th at 1996 Olympics; 3-time U.S. Outdoor champion; 10th at 1995, 1997 World Championships; 1998 Goodwill Games bronze medalist; 1993 NCAA Outdoor champion.

The defending Olympic Trials champion is coming off a spinal disc injury. An all-state basketball player her last two years in high school, Blair was named MVP on the state championship team. She later received more scholarship offers for basketball than track, and she played basketball for two years at Oregon. "I realized [in 1992] if I wanted to be really good at the heptathlon I would have to train all year."

A finance/management student at Oregon, she trained with Elzbieta and Andrzej Krzesinski after college ... moved to Seattle in 1996 after the Olympics... problems with plantar fascitis after the Olympics...married Matt LaBounty, a defensive end for the Seattle Seahawks, on January 31, 1998.

2000: Won Texas Relays (6217w)...3rd at Olympic Trials (6180).

1999: Did not compete due to a spinal disc injury that affected her hip and leg.

1998: Won USA Outdoors (6402)...3rd at Goodwill Games (6465 -PR)...8th at Talence (6059); injured...ranked #7 in world (#2 U.S.) by T&FN...best of 6465.

1997: Won USA Outdoors (6465 PR); 9th in long jump (20 ft 7 in, 6.27 m)...10th at World Champs (6253)...ranked #9 in world (#1 U.S.) by T&FN...best of 6465.
