Kellie Coffey

Born April 22, 1971, and a native of Moore, Oklahoma, singer and songwriter Kellie Coffey graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in vocal performance. She moved to California to pursue her singing/songwriting dream.

She performed background vocals for Barbra Streisand's Millennium Concert, recorded songs for Disney Theme Parks and sang for the television show Walker, Texas Ranger before she broke into the country music market with her hit single "When You Lie Next to Me" and 2002 album of the same name.

She won the Academy of Country Music's Top New Female Vocalist Award in 2003. She was one of the opening acts for Kenny Chesney's 2003 tour and for George Strait in 2004. Her family still lives in Moore.
