[edit] History
Carlton J. "Corky" Kell was the former head football coach at Wheeler High School in Cobb County and was instrumental in creating the High School Football Classic in 1992. In fact, the first Classic was actually the first game ever played inside the Georgia Dome, even before any professional or college team played there.
