Concord Township, one of 5 civil townships of Lake County, Ohio, is located on the southern edge of the county.
an (un)incorporated census-designated place and is also in that county. Concord Township is formed from the Connecticut Western Reserve. As of the 2000 census, Concord had a total population of 20,000. It was named after Concord, Massachusetts, in honor of its distinction as one of the locations of the first battles of the Revolutionary War. (from twp. web site - find better reference).

Concord is range 8, tier 10 on the map of the Western Reserve[verification needed]. It borders the following townships and municipalities:
- Painesville Township, on the north;
- The city of Painesville, on the north;
- Leroy Township, on the east;
- Hambden Township, on the southeast;
- Chardon Township, on the south;
- The city of Mentor, on the west;

The township is governed by a three-member board of trustees, who are elected in November of odd-numbered years to a four-year term beginning on the following January 1. Two are elected in the year after the presidential election and one is elected in the year before it. There is also an elected township clerk, who serves a four-year term beginning on April 1 of the year after the election, which is held in November of the year before the presidential election. The trustees and clerk are all chosen in non-partisan elections. Vacancies in the clerkship or on the board of trustees are filled by the remaining trustees.
