Keith Pickering (1955 - ) is a scientist and historian. He has created the Columbus Navigation Homepage, an internet resource on the life and exploration of Christopher Columbus. He has been involved in the Columbus landfall controversy, and is an advocate of the Plana Cays as the first landfall of Columbus.
From 1997 til 2005, he was the editor of DIO, the International Journal of Scientific History, to which he has made some contributions, mostly in the area of ancient Greek astronomy. Pickering supports Hipparchos as the author of the ancient star catalog, and has re-identified a number of questionable entries in the catalog using that assumption (DIO 12.5).
He was co-author (with Dennis Rawlins) of a proposal on the orientation of the Pyramids of Egypt (Nature 412, 699 {16 August 2001}).
