Keith Fitchett (born 21 February 1946) is a Liberal Democrat politician in the London Borough of Lambeth. Fitchett was a Councillor for Prince's ward in Kennington in the North of the Borough until May 2006.
As Chair of the Housing Committee, Cllr. Fitchett came under pressure from the opposition Labour Party leader, councillor Steve Reed to resign after it was revealed that £3million had been stolen from the Council in an internal fraud perpetrated by a housing official recruited by an employment agency. Fitchett rejected Cllr Reed's call to resign, saying that he was not personally at fault. In February 2006 Fitchett resigned from his position, claiming that the investigation into the fraud had unfairly treated staff in the housing department.
