The 9000 series (京王電鉄9000系電車 Keiō 9000 kei densha) is an EMU which operates on the Keio Corporation.

It started to service in January 2001. 0 level built 8-cars x 8 sets (9701F to 9708F). This series consider that running to Toei Shinjuku Line. But in those days, the ATC system of Toei Shinjuku Line didn't accept VVVF control system. So 0 level doesn't have systems which are needed on Toei Shinjuku Line.

  • Degree 2000: 9701F and 9702F built.
  • Degree 2001: 9703F to 9705F built.
  • Degree 2002: 9706F built.
  • Degree 2003: 9707F built.
  • Degree 2004: 9708F built.

In May 2005. ATC system of Toei Shinjuku Line was changed to new system which accept VVVF control system. 30level (9030 series) which can run to Toei Shinjuku Line 10-cars are now builting (9731F~).

  • Degree 2005: 9731F and 9732F built.
  • Degree 2006: 9732F to 9735F built.

The front end design is based on the 5000 series. The body is stainless steel of block structure which type of Nippon-Sharyo (日車式ブロック工法). Some sets was produced at Tokyu Car Corporation but body structure is same as Nippon-Sharyo. The front is steel with drawn ivory white.

"T" shape one handle master-controller system. Speed meter is 140km/h indication by analog. Have a TNS (Train Navigation System).

  • Keio Corporation Line
    • It can be used on all Keio Corporation Line of 1.372 mm gauge. Mainly use on Keio Line, Takao Line and Sagamihara Line.
    • On day time, it use on mainly Local and Rapid. It use also Semi Special Express on 10-cars.
    • When they organize 10-cars, 2-cars of 6000 series are coupled.

  • Keio Corporation Line
    • It useally use Sagamihara Line and East from Chōfu station of Keio Line. But they rarely use on West from Chōfu station of Keio Line and Takao Line mainly Semi Special Express.
  • Operate over the Toei Shinjuku Line.
    • On day time, it principle use Express of Moto-Yawata station of Shinjuku Line to Hashimoto station of Sagamihara Line.
