The Kdam Erovizyon (="Pre-Eurovision") Israeli national final to determine its entry to the Eurovision Song Contest did not start before 1981. The 1980 show was still an edition of Festival Ha-Zemer Ve-ha-Pizmon (="The song and chant Festival"), which wasn't directly related to the ESC, although in 1978-1980 the winner in that festival was sent (or was intended to be sent) to the ESC as the Israeli entry. drork 22:49, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
