KCSG is a television station based in Southern Utah, originating on channel 4 from St. George, Utah. Formerly owned by Bonneville International, KCSG is now owned by a prominent St. George-based businessman. Stephen Wade's Broadcast West took over KCSG and continued its affiliation with PAX-TV. In June of 2005, KCSG switched affiliations to the America One TV network.
There are also booster permits associated with this station: KCSG1 and KCSG2 in Littlefield, Arizona, which sits in an isolated portion of the state that is in an ambiguous overlap between the Phoenix and Salt Lake City markets.
KCSG is the first station in southern Utah to have local news. Their news operation began in 2003, with the hiring of Tamara Lee, and Todd Morril. Newsgathering operations began with a 5-minute newscast, but have expanded to a half-hour newscast at 5:30PM, a full hour at 9PM, and a 5-minute radio broadcast at the top of the hour. Until KCSG started their news department, St. George residents got their local news from stations in Salt Lake City.
