[edit] Hello

Hi. Just wanted to say thank you for the updates to the exit lists on the Interstate 195 (Rhode Island-Massachusetts) page. I noticed you're a ham as well. Are you on 1.25m at all by chance? Cheers! --K1vsr (talk) 14:45, 2 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] History of merit badges

Welcome!

Hello, KB1KOI, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

I'd like to add a note about your contributions to History of merit badges (Boy Scouts of America). We already have a detailed list of current merit badges at Merit badge (Boy Scouts of America). Adding to this article, as it is, just adds clutter, so I've gone ahead and merged your list with the existing one at Merit badge (Boy Scouts of America). Thanks. — Rebelguys2 talk 23:05, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Ribs.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Ribs.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 11:59, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

I modified the image. The correct license is {{scoutlogo}}. Now we just need to get it in an article. Cheers! --Analogdemon (talk) 14:38, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Scouting article work

If you are getting this, it is because you do or did work on Scouting articles (see Wikipedia:WikiProject_Scouting#Participants_and_primary_areas_of_interest).

As the Scouting WikiProject has been formed since early January 2006, we've had many great improvements made in this area of Wiki and I want to personally thank everyone for their help. We don't always agree on things, but we keep moving forward. YIS, Rlevse 22:09, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Almost Eagle

[edit] WikiProject Amateur radio

[edit] License tagging for Image:2nd year(Yawgoog).jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:2nd year(Yawgoog).jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 19:04, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sidebar redesign final vote!

It's that special, special time! No, grandma's not coming over. No, not time to clean out the fridge. It's sidebar redesign voting time! Yes, the community has narrowed it down to 3 different options, and a vote for the same old original sidebar is a choice one could vote for as well. Voting for multiple options is allowed, and discussion on the whole shebang is right there on the vote page itself.

You're probably getting this message because the sidebar fairy (JoeSmack for now) noticed you commented on the project at some time over on at Wikipedia talk:Village pump (proposals)/Sidebar redesign. Lovely. JoeSmack Talk 07:13, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Bronze CY(Yawgoog.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Bronze CY(Yawgoog.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Nilfanion (talk) 08:35, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] List of Council Shoulder Patches

Hi. I know that you were probably not aware of it when you created this page, but galleries of non-free images are not usually permitted on Wikipedia. See Wikipedia:Fair use criteria #8, Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Kelly Martin2, Wikipedia talk:Logos#Enough, and probably a few other places. We can use a non-free image when necessary to illustrate a point within an article. But image galleries go beyond what is generally considered acceptable. --BigDT 16:21, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
