Talk:Kazakhstani tenge
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I would suggest one point to edit its not a "kazakhstani" tenge its a Kazakh Tenge to according all conventional views of nation names, except the "Pakistani" word, its a wrong manner. However I believe no one here who responsible to edit this page takes a care on it.
Pure Kazakh from KAZAKHstan where almost 60% of us a native inhabitants
[edit] Degrees of Protection
What's this all about? --152.78.254.6 14:31, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I too was wondering what on earth "18 degrees of protection" meant. Can't find anything in Wikipedia that explains what this means. Also googled for it but got nothing relevant to currencies. Suggest it is removed unless someone can explain it. -- Muntfish 15:47, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] 2006 banknotes
Does anyone have more detail on the stated 'misspelling of the word "bank"' ? The BBC article [1] mentions the letter K but nothing more specific than that.... -- Muntfish 11:55, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- I've added a description based on a longer article. A photo of the bad notes would be great- though I'm not sure how many got out. Staecker 18:47, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Kazakh?
This page title should be "Kazakhstani tenge", since this is the currency of the nation of Kazakhstan. It has little to do with "Kazakh" the language or the Kazakh ethnicity. Things which are culturally or ethnically Kazakh are called "Kazakh". Things from Kazakhstan are called "Kazakhstani". Thus Grigori Marchenko is a "Kazakhstani politician", not a "Kazakh politician", because he is ethnically Russian (not Kazakh). And the tenge is "Kazakhstani". Please let's at least discuss it. - I suspect so too. Ask User:Nightstallion, who made the move. If this is to changed back to Kazakhstani tenge, then a dozen of other articles have to be moved back too, include the currencies of 4 other central Asian countries. --ChoChoPK (ēēPK) (talk | contrib) 14:11, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
