Kazuma Mikura is a fictional character in the manga Air Gear.

[edit] Biography
Kazuma Mikura (美鞍 数馬) - The childhood friend of Ikki, he was influenced by Ikki to take up AT. He is in the same class as Ikki. His friends address him as "Kazu." Kazu is rarely seen without his hat on; it usually only leaves his head when he is fighting. Kazu is also notorious in Kogarasumaru for being the one who trains the most. He also normally represents a sort of morality when it comes to women, whereas Onigiri and Ikki are more lecherous. For example, when Onigiri caught up with Croissant Mask (Ringo in disguise) during their first parts war in order to look at her ass, Kazu was embarrassed while Ikki was envious. Kazu has an older sister and his parents are rarely around.
[edit] Before AT
Before taking up AT, Kazu was one of Ikki's friends, and a member of the East Side Gunz. It has been revealed that years ago Ikki bullied Kazu, and forced Kazu to fight his "henchmen" up a treehouse in order for Ikki to stop bullying him. When the Skull Saders took control of the school, Kazu was forced to lure Ikki into a trap. Kazu felt so sorry about this that he apologized profusely and tried to fight Buccha by taking up AT.

In his first fight, which was against Buccha, Kazu was thoroughly defeated. Instead of having friends tell Ikki what had happened, he wrote a letter, holding the pen in his mouth as his body was too damaged to do it. During his first parts war, Kazu was afraid that he would let the team down. When he was pressured into finally racing, he moved so quickly that he disappeared, leaving his hat where he had been. As a result of this, his AT name is Stealth. As the sidekick, he is often overshadowed by Ikki and as a consequence, has an inferiority complex. When Ikki was hospitalized after going to Kyoto, Kazuma was decided to be the interim leader of the team. Even at the beginning of his interim leadership, Kazu was worried, due to his inferiority complex. This complex becomes even worse after the team is beaten by Animal House in their first match with Kazuma leading the team. As the temporary leader during Ikki's hospitalization, Kazu brought the team's rank up to B.
[edit] Skills and Abilities
Kazu is a speed-type rider. This means that he is specialized in speed and is often characterized by Oh!Great as a jet plane. Kazu can become so fast that he appears to disappear to the human eye, and even to cameras, becoming invisible. Kazu once defeated all of the East Side Gunz after they threatened him when he turned down their offer to become its leader. Even though Kazu is not naturally gifted like Ikki is, he is very passionate about AT and trains in order to become powerful. Possibly as a result of this, despite only seeing it once, Kazu was capable of achieving the Flame Road. The result of the road was an inferno of illusionary flame being created by his AT's. This, along with his passion, has garnered the attention of Spitfire, the current Flame King. Although currently unknown to him, Kazu is the chosen successor to the title of Flame King.
