Kayne Scott is a 5 times New Zealand Trans-Am Champion. He took an eight year sabbatical from motor racing from 1995 to 2003 and raced in the 2004, 2005 Parker Enzed V8 touring car series in a Mark Petch Holden VY Commodore. Scott and codriver Mark Porter finished 11th at the Bathurst 1000 driving a former Team Dynamik Holden VZ Commodore. Scott drove the same car in the 2006 Fujitsu V8 Supercar series in Australia. Scott's Bathurst 1000 debut was in 1988 Driving a BMW M3. He was again in the race in 1991 driving a Ford Sierra rs500.

Scott is the reining New Zealand touring car champion.

In 2007, Scott will again compete in the Fujitsu Development Series, driving an ex Mark Skaife Holden VZ Commodore.
