Kaylie Jones

Kaylie Jones (born 5 August 1960) is an American novelist. She was raised in Paris.

She is the daughter of novelist James Jones, who wrote his magnum opus, From Here to Eternity (1951).
She has taught in the public schools of New York City through Teachers & Writers Collaborative and has organized a symposium at Southampton College in memory of her father, who died in 1977. She is a graduate of Wesleyan University and Columbia University's School of the Arts.

In 1998, A Soldier's Daughter Never Cries became a Merchant Ivory Film. The film was directed by James Ivory and starred Leelee Sobieski as Channe (the protagonist in the novel).
