From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kauko Nieminen (born 29 August 1979) is a Finnish Speedway racer with the Workington Comets in the UK, Mariestad in Sweden and the Finnish national Speedway team[1].

Kauko rode for the Glasgow Tigers in 2006 as well as representing Finland in the 2006 Speedway World Cup.

Kauko is known by both Workington and Glasgow fans as 'The Flyin Finn' because of his racing style, which produces some great high speed passing.

For the 2007 season, Kauko will be riding for the Workington Comets, this time as captain, for Solkatterna in Sweden and TZ Lublin in Poland.
