KAUR is an FM radio station broadcasting from the campus of Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The station broadcasts at a frequency of 89.1 MHz and offers a roughly 60 mile listening diameter. KAUR specializes in independent or college rock, but it also broadcasts weekly Alternative, Blues/Jazz, Folk, Spanish Traditional, Rap, and Post-Hardcore/Metal programming. The station was founded in 1972, although Augustana College once managed a self-constructed AM station which was founded in 1945.
