Kato District, Hyogo

Katō (加東郡; -gun) was a district located in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.

As of 2003, the district had an estimated population of 40,479 and a density of 257.03 persons per km². The total area was 157.49 km².

  • The district dissolved on March 20, 2006 when the towns of Takino, Tojo and Yashiro merged to form the new city of Kato turning the Kato District into the city of Kato.
