Katie Greenwood (born c. 1985, Warrington, Cheshire) is the ex-girlfriend of the former Lancashire cricketer Richard Green, who famously took part in a threesome with him and exotic dancer Holly Henderson, following an Internet bet on the web site pleasemakethiswork.com(which afterwards became richardandkatie.co.uk). The bet was that she would only take part in a threesome with Richard and another female if their web site received 5 million hits or more[1], a figure which was very quickly surpassed. During 2006 they eventually gained a worldwide following as a result of this, with a great deal of media coverage. The event was filmed and afterwards was made available through a 45-minute Internet stream, with viewers from across the globe.

Despite the threesome apparently being a success, with all participants seeming to be happy about what had taken place, a short time afterwards the relationship between Katie and Richard became strained, due to extreme jealousy on his part. During the three-way sexual encounter it became obvious she was very much attracted to Holly, a feeling that was equally reciprocated, which turned out to prove too much for him to handle in the long run. In a newspaper interview he said, "As soon as we'd had the threesome I knew it was a mistake. I just couldn't trust her any more."[2] This ultimately led to their split, where she turned to Holly for emotional support. She told the News Of The World newspaper, “Afterwards he (Richard) became a nightmare. I couldn't even go to the shop without him following, thinking I was seeing someone. I turned to Holly as a friend to get me through a difficult patch and things progressed from there.”[3] Since then her relationship with Holly has become sexual (after being purely platonic since the encounter took place) and they are currently living together.[4] More recently she and Holly flew over to the United States to appear on Howard Stern's radio show, where they allegedly took part in various sexual acts, including riding on a Sybian machine[5]. Since Katie ended her relationship with Richard their web site has been disabled.
