Kathryn Shaw

Kathryn Shaw has been the Artistic Director of Studio 58 since 1985.
She graduated with her B.A. in Dramatic Art from the Whitman College and an M.F.A in acting from the Columbia University School of the Arts in New York.
She has directed for theatre companies across Canada and has taught acting for professional and community groups in British Columbia, Winnipeg and Halifax. She has also been a guest instructor at the National Theatre School in Montreal.
Her most recent directing credits include Measure for Measure at Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival.
In 1997 she received the UBCP/ACTRA Sam Payne Award for "Humanity, Integrity and the Encouragement of New Talent."
