Katherine Delmar Burke School

Katherine Delmar Burke School, also called KDBS, was founded in 1908 and was named after Katherine Burke. The school was formerly named Miss Burke's School and included a high school which is now known as San Francisco University High School. The schools separated and formed independent schools. KDBS is located in San Francisco, California near Lincoln Park. KDBS is one of 3 all-girl K-8 schools in San Francisco and is named the #1 independent school in San Francisco.[citation needed]
