Katherine is a fictional character from Highlander: The Series, portrayed by actress Claudia Christian. She is an Immortal.

Katherine was born in 326 BC in Samothrace. She was a foundling child. Katherine was raised by a loving family who taught her how to help others. While growing up, Katherine helped heal people with her knowledge of remides. When she grew up she became a healer for others. In 292 BC, she grew up to be a great woman. A volcanic eruption caused the death of a lot of people in her village and killed her, too. She became Immortal and later on met her teacher, Mantinea of Pylus, taught her what she was and how to survive.
In 1270, in Northern England, she came across a village and meet her best friend, Berta Symes, who was the village healer. Berta took her in and they became great friends. Even though Berta was the healer for the village, she learned a lot from Katherine. Berta believed that Katherine should be the healer, but Katherine told her that Berta gives a lot of love and care to people and that is a true healer. Things were going great for Katherine and the village for awhile till the tax collectors put up a sign, ordering the villagers to pay a big tithe. An Immortal named Bartholomew was the head of the tax collector and priest, he believe it is God's will for the taxes and says that if you fight in the Crusade, you will get your sins cleansed. Katherine questions his motives, thinking he is lining his pockets. Later on, Katherine confronts Bartholomew and challenges him, but is shot in the back by his guard. Later on, Katherine revives and sees the village burned and the people slaughtered. She sees the necklace of Berta's and takes it. This is the reason Katherine will hunt down Bartholomew.
Over the centuries, Katherine has tracked down Bartholomew, who is still making money of other people's misfortunes though war and hunger. Katherine becomes a mercanery, helping people in need. In 1993, she is now living in Chicago, Illinois. She meets the love of her life, Nick Sutherland, who is a Chicago police officer. They met in an investigation of a seriel killer. They got married and she reveals herself about being Immortal, Nick still loves her.
In 1998, Katherine and Nick are rescuing a girl from her kidnappers and do so, they are offered money, but refused it, though she takes only $20 cause of Nick shooting her to get the bad guy, shooting a hole in her blouse, needing a new one. Later on, Katherine finds out the whereabouts of Bartholomew. She tells Nick about Bartholomew and is worried about her, but she insists that she will be allright.
Katherine goes to Paris, France to deal with Bartholomew. She goes to the "Mission for Children" foundation building to see Barthlolomew. They meet up in the parking garage and they are about to face off till 2 of Bartholomew's goons show up. Katherine is saved by Nick and they talk more about Bartholomew. Later that night, they go to the "Mission for Children" building to learn that Bartholomew is stealing money out of his organization. The police come in and arrest Katherine and Nick. The cop is telling the they are investigating Bartholomew. The cop is going to escort Katherine and Nick to the airport till he gets killed by Bartholomew's goons. They are out of money and have no guns. Katherine contacts the man who's duaghter they rescued and he gives them some guns and money. Katherine and Nick go to Bartholomew's home and Nick deals with the goons. Katherine and Barthlolomew go at it with their sword. Katherine and Bartholomew fight till the death, Katherine takes Bartholomew's head and receives his Quickening. Katherine and Nick take $30 million worth of diamonds that belonged to Bartholomew and use it to help feed the children that are starving.
