Kate Jennings

Kate Jennings, (born May 20, 1948), in Temora, New South Wales,Australia) is a writer, poet and novelist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours from the University of Sydney, during which time she was active in feminist and left-wing politics. She left Australia in 1979 for life in New York where she worked as an editor and speechwriter for a major investment bank.

Her novels have been well-received, with Snake reported to have just missed the Booker Prize shortlist, and Moral Hazard which was shortlisted for the 2003 Miles Franklin Award.
