Kate Harrington was the Green Party of Canada candidate for Edmonton-Mill Woods-Beaumont in the 2006 Canadian federal election.

Kate has lived in the Edmonton area for the past thirty-eight years and within the local community for the past fifteen years.
Kate is a garden designer and consultant who specializes in ecologically friendly designs. She has worked as a journalist, independent film producer and in conference planning and administration for various firms and associations.
An advocate for children with special needs, Kate is currently home-schooling her junior-high aged daughter whom she says is "getting a fantastic Social Studies experience" in the current Federal election campaign which has been underway this winter (2005/2006).
