Kate Corrigan is a fictional character from the Dark Horse Comics universe. She works for the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense.

Dr. Corrigan was a professor of history at New York University (specializing in folklore) before she joined the B.P.R.D. in 1984 as a consultant. She wrote sixteen books on folklore and occult history, including the confessions of Isobel Gowdie. Her first field mission was in May 1994. She and Hellboy investigated the mass killings in the small European village of Griart. Kate deduced that the village must be St. August and that the killings are being performed by werewolves. She encounters her first ghost on this mission.

In 1995, Kate was promoted to Director of Field Operations, a post previously held by Professor Trevor Bruttenholm and Dr. Tom Manning. She is the special liasion to the 'enhanced talents' agents, namely those that command superhuman abilities.

In Kate's most dangerous mission to date, she was captured by an ageless marquis who wished to trade her for the corpse of Roger the homunculus. She was able to escape by slicing off the marquis' fingers with a knife and destroying one of his rings. The ring, belonging to King Solomon, held the demon Marchosias in thrall, so the monster allowed Kate to live while he razed the marquis' treasures and carried him off to Hell.

Dr. Corrigan is a cool-headed leader. Kate has implied numerous times that she prefers field work, although she usually remains outside of direct action. She is a capable shot with small arms.
