[edit] Summary
I took this photograph today (2-17-2007) of a bookplate engraved by Edwin Davis French over 100 years ago for author, Kate Dickinson Sweetser. The book, "The Development of Palestine Exploration, Being The Ely Lectures for 1903" (NY: Charles Scribner's Sons), was inscribed by her relative/author, Dr. Frederick Jones Bliss. This book was published in 1906, the same year the engraver died.
