Kasamh Se is a Hindi drama serial produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Anil V Kumar. It has been shown since 2006 on Zee TV every Sunday-Thursday. Kasamh Se deals with the trials and tribulations of three sisters, Bani, Pia and Rano, and is inspired by the American novel Little Women.

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Bani, Pia and Rano are three sisters who live in Mount Abu with their father, Nishikant Dixit. Their mother died seven years earlier, and since then, their father has become an alcoholic.

Before Nishikant dies, he makes Bani promise that she will protect and take care of her younger sisters. After his death, Bani is given a letter from Dayal, a family friend, which contains the address of Jai Walia - the man who will take care of them. The three sisters then go to Jai Walia in Mumbai and are given shelter there.

Jai's sister, Jigyasa and her son, Ranveer hate the sisters. In the meantime, Jai realises that he loves Pia, and proposes marriage to her, despite the age barrier. Pia, despite being in love with Pushkar, agrees to the marriage believing that Jai will give her a better life than Pushkar can. However, later on, Pia decides to elope with Pushkar. Jigyasa then suggests that Jai marriage Bani, and pressure is applied to Bani. Despite Jai and Bani getting married, Jai refuses to accept her as his wife.

Over time, Masi's presence and Bani's persuasion improves the relationship between Jai and Bani. Jai starts liking Bani for whom she is. However life has something else in store for them.A dark secret from Jai's life starts haunting him and his ex-girlfriend Roshni threatens to ruin his personal life by revealing to Bani the park road secret. Jai is doomed. He detests the thought of losing Baani.

Someone calls Bani at park road and intends to reveal the truth. Jai also reaches there. Jai finds Bani there. Jai decides to tell Bani the truth finally. Jai reveals that 7 years ago he had killed Bani's mother accidentally. Bani is devastated. AS Bani IS leaving she faints.Jai rushes her TO the hospital TO realize that she IS pregnant.Bani decides TO leave home.Before jai can stop her he realizes that there have been SOME blasts IN the town AND Bani IS missing.she goes back home for the sake of masi. Bani and Jai fall in love when Pia and Pushkar separate. Pia aborts Pushkar's child, and decides to leave him, for he is poor. Bani wants to divorce Jai Wailia, and take alimony since someone i trying to steal his propery. Bani figures she can keep it safely with her. Bani finds out her mother committed suicide, and jai Walia did not do anything. Jai Walia gives his property to Bani.

Bani wants to tell Jai but hi life is in danger. someone is to shoot Jai Walia, when Bani stops him. the angry hitter, punches his gun in Bani's stomach. Bani loses her baby, and Jigyasa pays the doctor to say she aborted it. They fll in love again after a few months. Bani foot is stuck on a bomb in a deserted place.Jai Walia pushes Bani off, and puts his foot in place of Bani's so she can run away. Thy both surviv as it was a fake bomb set by Roshni. Pia is in love with Jai Walia, and wants o take him from Bani!

Mr Jai Walia - Jai Walia - The main character head of Walia house. Loves his wife Bani a lot. Expecting two kids; one with his wife and the other by his wifes sister Pia.
Bani - Oldest sister of the three and is married to Mr Jai Walia and pregnant with his child. - She is the main character
Uday - Jai, Jigyasa, and Nachikets father. Ran away with Barnali. Killed by Barnali.
Krishna - The dead mother of Jai and Jigyasa.
Barnali - Nachiket's mother. Worked for Uday and killed him. In jail.

Lakshmi (Punjabi girl) - Karuna's daughter and Mausi's granddaughter. She has a crush on Tarun.
Rashi - Ranvir's wife. Currently has blood cancer and wanted to get Abilasha and Ranvir married as her last wish.And now wants Rano to marry Ranvir since Sahil has died and since the family and her has found the truth of Abilasha.

Dixit family

Nishikant - Drunk father of the three sisters. Dies in the beginning of the show. Loves his daughters a lot.
Kiran - The mother of the sisters. Killed herself by coming in front of Jai Walia's car. Was ill.
Bani - Oldest sister of the three and is married to Mr Jai Walia and pregnant with his child. - She is the main character
Pia - Middle sister and is married to Pushkar but supposedly "loves" Mr Jai Walia. Supposedly pregnant with Mr. Walia's child because we don't know if she and Pushkar have been together. Currently living with Puskar for a month to keep her away from Jai and Bani who are reconciling.
Rano - The youngest sister and is married to Sahil. They have a baby boy names Varun, who is born a handicap.

Pushkar reflects On his and Pia's relationship. Jigyasa's uncle and aunty dance at the party and turns out to be a big joke. Tarun gets them away. Rashi finds Sahil's clothes in the cupboard and speaks to his picture. Pushkar and the doctor talk about his relationship, Pia sees both of them. All the couples are invited to dance, Bani thinks about the secret and the promise made to Tarun. Jai Walia feels bad about Bani lying to him and he thinks about Tarun and Bani. Ranvir and Rano decide to head home. Bani decides to reveal everything to Jai Walia. There is a gun shot, Bani screams for Jai. Jai is ok, he tries to find out who was the killer and finds his and Bani's picture outside on the ground. Ranvir and Rano discuss on coming back home so early. Varun begins to cry, rashi takes care of him. Jigyasa passes comments on Rashi. Bani speaks to Jai Walia about the party incident. She is worried for his life and that he has to go abroad for work. Jai reassures her , Bani gets angry and goes away. Jai walia gets ready to leave, Bani is still angry. Jai Walia asks Tony to get his ties, cufflinks who does not know where they are. Jai Walia gets angry at Tony, bani tells Jai Walia she will pack for him. Jai Walia sees Bani pack.

Lakshmi is at the Tarun's office, he enters. Tarun gets irritated with Lakshmi as a particular file gets deleted by her. Lakshmi feels bad, Tarun tries to console her and agrees to take her shopping. Rashi tells Rano about Ranvir likes and dislikes. Bani enters the room, Rashi gets choked up showing where all Ranvir's things are kept. Rano goes away, Bani consoles Rashi. Nachiket talks to Ranvir about holding a small get together for Rashi's going away. Rashi meets Ranvir and tells him about her going to London. Jai Walia wants to buy a particular boook for Bani, he cannot find a single copy. All the family members get ready for the get together. Ranvir gets a bouquet for Rashi. Tarun gifts a book to Bani. Jai Walia finds that it is the same book he wanted to gift Bani with. Anu and her husband gift Ganeshj ito Rashi. Aditya gives Rashi a shawl. Ranvir feels bad about Rashi going away. Rashi speaks to him, Ranvir break down. Tarun indicates to Bani about something. He calls an undercover guy to identify the walia family members. The guy tries to identify, and then points towards Lakshmi. Tarun checks with the guy to make sure he is certain. Jai sees Bani and Tarun togther and his gift on the floor. Bani speaks to lakshmi about buying Rashi's medicines. Lakshmi tells Tarun she knows broken english and got the medicines as per the prescription

Tony ensures both Rashi and Jai walia's luggage are rightly packed. Bani starts to cry as Jai Walia is about to leave. Jai Walia consoles her, but Bani feels bad that Jai Walia is going away. Both say I love you to each other. Being leaving Jai Walia takes her to a temple. He wakes up the priest and asks him to conduct their wedding. Jai applies sindoor, both he and Bani pary for their long life. Ranvir and Rano talk about their future. Pushkar receives a call that he has got the new project. Tony hands a letter to Bani, she gets apprehensive and calls Tarun. She tells him that the party attack was meant for her. Rano asks Bani to take care of Varun. Pia is at doctor, she learns that Bani has been paying for her bills. Bani opens the cupboard and find a handycam. She finds a video shot by Sahil who tells that someone wants to kill him. When Rano enters the room, Bani hides the handycam away. Ranvir cajoles Varun, Rano sees him. Both of them talk about Sahil's childhood and see his pictures. Rano begins to cry, Ranvir comforts her. Tarun meets Bani and she tells him about Sahil's handycam

Tarun sees the camera but finds out it is broken, and Bani is very upset. Jai Walia is at the hospital with Rashi who is getting ready. Jai thinks of Bani and says I love you to her, but she isn't with him. Back at home Bani thinks she felt Jai' presence. Jai sees donation lists with the names of the top donates. Jai asks the doctor why Tarun Sablok is on the list, and finds out Tarun has a obession disorde. She says this disease causes the person to become mad and dangerous if he doesn't get what he really loves. Jai worries that Tarun doesn't hurt Bani. Pia tells Pushkar she can't hurt Bani anymore, and decides to live in Mount Abu. On the bus, she hears a plan about a target being in Bani's car. Pia, Bani, and Rano do their Father's death anniversary prayer. Pia tryies to tell Bani about the attack that will happen on her car, but Rano and Bani tell Pia to go away. Bani and Rano are nearest to the car as it blows up.

Mr. Walia has a dream that Bani is hurt. He tries to call Bani but can't receive her phone. Aditya gets a call that the three sisters are in the hospital. Rano is the first one to wake up in the hospital, and Ranvir comes to meet her with Varun. Ranvir says he is very happy she isn't hurt. Doctors say Bani and Pia are both in danger. Bani can't breath as she imagines herself saying good-bye to her baby and Jai. Bani receives her consciousness after a while. Bani wakes up and remembers how Pia pushed Bani and Rano out of the car. She sees how Bani hit the hay, Rano hit the sand, but Pia hits her head on a huge rock. Pia wakes up and apologies to Bani how she should have never wore high heels on the rock stairs. She asks Bani who Aditya and Anu are. Doctor tells Bani and Rano that due to the accident Pia suffers from memory loss due to which she doesn’t remember what happened in her life in the past 1 and half year.

They all go down to eat, and Pia asks Bani who Karuna is. Next, she yells at Bani for wearing a mangulsutra even though Pia thinks she isn' married. Nachiket takes the picture of Jai and Bani so Pia does not look at it. The doctor says to Bani she will have to give Pia her medicines for the accident and the baby. Bani makes soup for Pia and adds her medicine in it. The electricity goes out as Pia takes a flashlight and accidently goes into Hitler's room, Jai's room. Pia is looking at the pictures on the wall, but Rano comes before Pia can Bani's and Jai's together. Pia goes to the farm house, where Bani spills the soup on Tarun, The electricity comes back on. Pia sees Bani cleaning Tarun's shirt with her scarf, and thinks that she is in love with Tarun. Pia makes a promise to fulfill Bani's love and get them together.

Ranvir misses Rashi and leaves town telling Rano that he is going to London as he wants to be with Rashi. Karuna is looking out for Tarun, Chachi tells her that he had seen him with bani in the kitchen and just then they come out and Karuna approaches Tarun for getting formally engaged to Lakmi.Looking at Tarun and Bani together Piya shares with Rano and Pushkar that Bani and Tarun likes each other and that she thinks they make a very good pair.Jai is waiting on London airport to get the flight back to India and that is where he gets the MMS of Tarun and Bani in the kitchen.

Piya is shocked to know about the engagement between tarun and LAkmi. Bani approaches Karuna and tells her about Tarun’s past and that he will never forget the girl he loved.jai decides to listen to the audio cassette of Tarun which he had flipped from doctors cabin. He listens to her and now as he hears his confrontation with the doctor he gets to know that he has confided that he loves BANI. Jai gets very angry and wants to save Bani from Tarun now.Twoladies come and tell piya that she is pregnant and she should not dance like this. Piya tells her she is unable to understand what the ladies said to her. Rano talks to the ladies telling them about Piya’s mental state and her being unaware that she is PREGNANT. And as she is talking Piya over hears this.

Piya gets to know it is Jai's baby. Karuna tries to talk to Tarun to forget his past and be happily married to Lakshmi, which Tarun denies. bani is happy that Jai is coming, she forgets her cell home, jai tries to contact Bani, but her cell is not reachable. Bani approaches she finds a beautiful surprise by Jai. Jai breaks the news of Tarun's COD news and that he is in love with her. Bani is shocked.

Jai and Bani comes home. sees Piya... high drama played as Jai dosen't want to see her. Bani takes Piya's side. Karuna comes and breaks the news that she has called off the Rokka. all surprised when she tells that Tarun loves someone else.Jai throws Tarun out of the house and tells the family about the disorder which tarun was going through .
