Until November of 2006, I was known as Ingoolemo. I was reluctant to part with the name, because it had been my pseudonym almost everywhere for over two years, and it suits me well. The old name comes from an epithet I have given myself in Tolkienian Elvish, Mānandil Mizimon Ingōlemo. The first name is meant to mean 'friend of goodness'. The second is a translation of my own first name. The last is the word for 'wizard, one of deep lore'; I sometimes joke that it means 'wise guy'. Sadly, my name was mentioned on C-SPAN by John Seigenthaler Sr. as an example of unprofessional pseudonyms among Wikipedia's Administrators. I haven't much to say about my personality, though someone once said that I'm the concrete form of Algernon Moncrieff from The Importance of Being Earnest. Athletically, I enjoy running, mountain biking, road biking, nordic skiing, and ultimate frisbee the fast-paced sport of the 21st century. Academically, I'm interested in almost every topic imaginable. At the moment, my primary interest on Wikipedia is military aviation. I am also interested in linguistics and languages, including artificial languages. A few languages I hope to learn: German, Russian, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Latin, Greek, Sanskrit, Quenya, and Esperanto. I have an absurd/morbid sense of humour, but I try also to maintain professionalism in my activities on Wikipedia, one reason why my page is so spare. And now, one of the most eloquent, but also most depressing, passages in literature:
