Karuppur is a panchayat town in Salem district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.It is located on the National Highway 7 between Salem and Bengalooru. The Periyar University, of which many Salem colleges are affiliated to, is located here.It is a railway station on the Chennai-Shoranur railway line.
